Human

Nightbirde's poem "Human"

I'm a little less human than I was before

Cut apart like a doll and sewn back together

With cursive stitches

They borrow my blood

And put it in a category

It's a passionate burgundy

But it's still in the vial

And I am still sitting here

Exactly as I shouldn't be

Is life a thing that I'm doing

Or a thing that's happening to me

I am a science experiment

Onlookers take notes

I am a statistic, one sheet in a stack of test results

How many more pieces can I lose

Before I am more robot than human
